Introscope® LeakHunter™
Introscope LeakHunter identifies hard-to-find memory leaks in J2EE and .NET applications — a major obstacle to achieving high levels of application availability. Introscope LeakHunter allows IT personnel to better ensure availability by identifying potential memory leak problems that cause performance degradation, unpredictable execution or application crashes.
Introscope LeakHunter allows application support teams to:
- Isolate hard-to-find potential memory leaks in pre-and post-deployment environments
- Dramatically increase application availability
- Track growth pattern of data caches
- Control memory management problems
- Save time and money spent re-booting applications to work around problems.
Introscope LeakHunter helps you ensure higher application availabiltiy by eliminating memory leak problems.
Using patented technology, Introscope LeakHunter isolates collection instances in the application that are growing in size and flags them as potential leaks. Data about those instances is then reported to the Introscope Enterprise Manager and sent to a log file. The information is tracked over time and presented in the Introscope Workstation. Introscope users can then analyze this information and quickly identify the component (Servlet, EJB, .NET component, etc.) responsible for creating memory allocations that are never freed. LeakHunter gives development teams the information they need to fix the application and get it rolled back into production faster.
